Character History

Chadrick was born to a very special Halfling family. Their ancestors were one of the few that had participated in the Great Battle over the continent. Their ancestors had witnessed the death of the Old Gods and the begining of the age of Philosophies. As a result, their bloodline contained the potent power of the old god Vorynn, the master of magic.

When Chadrick was a small boy, he learned the importance of his blood power. It allowed him to excel at statecraft and to give him magical powers he never imagined possible. He was able to excel at the use of magic, and dedicated himself to its study.

He learned, however, that his lack of magical nature would hurt his studies in Magic. He did not allow that to hinder him, however. He applied himself studiously to the study of the magic of the Mind: Illusions and Divinations.

After becoming rather well known in the lands for his talents, he decided to help others realize their talents. He owns and runs the Magician's School of Ideallian at Lordsmere, the most prestigious school in the surrounding lands.

Chadrick also used his influence to protect the Halfing villages in Rhunbosque from both Human and Elvish conquests. He is rather influential with both groups.

Chadrick advises the kings on matters involving the Elves and acts as a liason between Human and Elvish interests.

Yes, the class information is correct. I allowed this person to play a Halfling Magician, since the magic is more mind-based. This was not too overbalancing, really.

Chadrick receives many special Halfing abilities as outlined in the Races section of the Birthright rulebook. Please reference this section to find this information.

Chadrick gets a +10% exp bonus for being a Magician.
