Demonscape MUD

Welcome to the page that discusses the development of Demonscape MUD. If you are interested, the links below describe what we want to do in order to create a new on-line internet game. We have put a lot of thought into this, and want to do something original.

Demonscape is the effort of myself (Brian Green), Al Welle, to make an original on-line text-based game. We are interested in MUDs and hope to make this one of the most interesting and unique games one can find on the Internet for free. Unfortunately, as with any hobby, time always seems to be a precious and scarce commodity.

Some General Information on MUDs:

The general MUD FAQ answers many general questions about MUDs.
The FAQ for LP-MUDs gives a good overview of the type of MUD we are developing. (Demonscape will be an LP-type MUD)
The newsgroup rec.games.mud.lp is a good place to find information about LP MUDs such as Demonscape.
The newsgroup rec.games.mud.admin is a good place to discuss overall MUD development and design.
The newsgroup rec.games.design is good for general game design discussion.
