Speaking at LOGIN conference: Indie Obstacles
Filed under: — Psychochild @ 8:18 AM

I’m giving a presentation at the LOGIN confernence next week in Seattle on the topic of “Indie Obstacles”.

Drop me a line if you’ll be in the area and want to meet up. I also highly recommend the conference if you’re interested in game development and want to network with other interesting people.

Read on for more information on the panel I’ll be on.

The panel, organized by Corvus Elrod is entitled Indie Obstacles. I’ll be sharing my experiences with Meridian 59, of course. From the email discussions on organization we’ve had, sounds like it’ll be a lively panel. The other panelist are also really experienced developers, so it should be packed with information.

I attended LOGIN last year and found it to be a great experience. I met a different group of people than I see at GDC or the Austin conference. I’m looking forward to attending the conference again.

  2. Any chance for videos or any form or recording? Even paid ones? I find the lack of coverage quite disappointing as there are some lectures and panels I’d be very interested to hear about.

  3. It was an excellent panel, very inspiring. Dave, this one will hopefully find its way onto the internet through MarkeeDragon.com – they recorded every panel.

  4. The amazing Darius Kazemi put up a paraphrased transcript of our panel on his site: http://tinysubversions.com/2010/05/login-2010-indie-obstacles-panel/

(Dave might notice a reference to him if he reads it closely. I actually did mention Golemizer by name, but looks like Darius didn’t transcribe that bit.)

  5. Thanks for the links Staci and Brian. One day I’ll have to get to one of those. If only I wasn’t so cheap!

Oh and that link just pop in my reader: http://www.psychologyofgames.com/2010/05/15/login-2010-lecture-slides/
