The GLS Conference rocked
I enjoyed myself at the Games, Learning & Society Conference! It was very well run and informative and, frankly, a lot of fun. Kudos to the organizers.
I'm putting this entry here to include some notes about the conference for people that stop by after the conference. Read on for some assorted bits and pieces.
I'll post the slides to my talk up here sometime soon. I'll link it here and add a comment when I do. The session was also webcast, so I'll throw up a link when I get that as well.
I also talked to some people about how "causal games" were becoming a much more difficult market. I told a couple people about an excellent article by Brian Hook about the topic. That is highly recommended reading for anyone looking to start their own games business.
I'll also be posting up some thoughts about some presentations. But, I want to do my homework and read some papers so I don't misrepresent the research people have done.
