GDC next week

I'm heading to the GDC next week. Ick.

Anyway, I'll be hanging around talking with friends and colleagues. So, if you see a long hair bearded type that isn't a Terra Nova author, feel free to say "Hi!" Just don't beat me over the head and look for pocket change, you'll be disappointed. Plus I'll have minions that will get a cheap kill if you do. ;)

As for my schedule at GDC, I'm not speaking, again, because I haven't found the magic topic that makes the GDC gatemasters tingle. Since they have rejected my proposals for multiple years now and refuse to provide feedback to allow me to improve I'm not even bothering to submit talks anymore. I'm just going to get in on a press pass and enjoy the same benefits and, most likely, better facilities than the speakers do.

  1. Check, beat you for candy. Are you going to be at the TN or Journalists get together?

  2. Which TN get-together? There's a less formal get-together on Tuesday it seems, and a more formal one on Thursday. I'll likely make both. There's also talk of a MUD-Dev dinner sometime, but I can't find details at this moment. Finally, some good friends of mine are hosting a Bar-B-Que on Friday for online game developers. I'm sure other things will pop up later.

If anyone has a burning desire to get in touch with me, you can email me at brian@neardeathstudios.com and I'll share appropriate contact information with you.

    Have fun,

  3. I am SO glad that's over. Unfortunately, I don't think I got to meet you, Zonk. :/

    Laters,
