  2. that is a hard question to answer. Much harder than Why, or Who, or even How ( Where is so easy we are not going to discuss it). But What, that is a tough one. The reason is that the rest of the question forms the context for the discussion of the answer to What. Without that rest of the question, you have no idea on what is a correct or even rational answer ( see: 42 ). Which makes this Weekend Design Challenge maybe one of the most subtle and powerfully illustrative challenges yet. For all of these challenges are about thinking through the full ramifications of designs on the developer, player and even the other designs.

    Or maybe I have it all wrong and the answer is the classic response: Nothin’

  6. So, the point of this is to see how people react when things aren’t defined at all. It’s interesting that the answers went from a paragraph all the way down to one word. :)

    When you’re doing design (or most other creative efforts, for that matter), the blank page can be the most intimidating part of the whole process. Where do you start? Sometimes having a bit of direction can spawn interesting ideas.
