New Page: Indie developer resources

You may notice a new link over to the side. I’m assembling a page of resources for independent developers to use for their games. Feel free to contribute! Post link suggestions in this thread. Or, drop me an email.

  1. Hmm… what kind of stuff are you looking for? Anything that could help?

If they need a fairly cheap time and attendance solution with costing functions and reports, I’d recommend my company’s product: ITCS WebClock. We also support Paychex, which you have listed for Payroll.

  2. Ok, you can have the damn thing…

I wrote the Edgeworks UDP layer as probably the second component of this project, after the first pass……

  3. A huge collection of tiles for isometric games: Reiner’s Tilesets

Another graphics engine (one that I like). TrueVision3D.

A generalized list of game engines (and a community, and some how-to articles): DevMaster

  4. Well, I’m the dev, not the salesman, but I think our pricing is something like: small setup fee (waived most times), then $1.25 per employee per month. So it is definately not outside the garage developer price range if they find a need to track time, contracts and costing.

  5. The Indie Gamer forums (http://forums.indiegamer.com/) are a good place for developers to hang out.

I value your comment and think the discussions are the best part of this blog. However, there's this scourge called comment spam, so I choose to moderate comments rather than giving filthy spammers any advantage.

If this is your first comment, it will be held for moderation and therefore will not show up immediately. I will approve your comment when I can, usually within a day. Comments should eventually be approved if not spam. If your comment doesn't show up and it wasn't spam, send me an email as the spam catchers might have caught it by accident.
