I’ve really enjoyed the daily posting for the last few weeks. Without a daily demand on a large chunk of my time, I poured a lot into writing posts on here. With the new month, I’m going to change my posting frequency, but my promise to you is that I won’t neglect this blog! My current plan is to post at least three times per week barring extenuating circumstances.
Of course, I do have a particular extenuating circumstance coming up.
The lease where I’m living is coming to an end. The landlords are moving, and they want to sell the place, so I do have to move unless someone wants to donate a whole lot of money for me to make a down payment. Depending on which opportunity I pursue, this could be either a local move or another cross-country move that keeps me occupied for some time. I don’t know for sure which it will be.
I also want to find my rhythm for working on my other projects. Writing a quality blog post takes some time to write, edit, and do research on; I want to pour more time into into writing How to Think Like a Game Designer or putting together a business plan for a possible future project. (Oooh! Teaser!) I will probably do some consulting work if I don’t find a good permanent position as well, which will likely require travel time. Perhaps I’ll post more often when I settle into a new rhythm of personal and professional work.
For now, the plan is to do regular posts on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. I may post more if inspiration strikes, or I may post less if I’m busy with moving, etc. But, I don’t want to let my blog lie dormant, especially not when I have the energy and freedom to post what I want when I want. Also, I have a few suggested topics left I want to answer!
For now, a hearty thanks to everyone who reads my posts, and a special thanks to people who post comments. I truly appreciate your support and your insightful thoughts that you share with me.
