Time for feedback!

It’s that time again. Give me some feedback on the blog! What do you want to see? Any questions for me? Anything you don’t particularly care to see again?

Leave a comment. Or, if you’d prefer, send me an email.

  1. Just more of the same :)

  2. Personally, I’d love to know where you get all your article ideas? I have trouble thinking of new topics myself, but whenever you write, it’s as if there’s something new to learn, and I appreciate that about your site. :)

  3. I don’t know if you are aware of it, but when I visit a new blog post from you in Google Reader (in Firefox 4), I always get this error in top of your site:

Warning: preg_match() [function.preg-match]: Compilation failed: nothing to repeat at offset 1 in /home/psychoch/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wassup/wassup.php on line 3954 (repeated twice)

When I visit the web site directly, there are no issues. =)

  4. More posts on MMORPG design. I love reading detailed posts on that.

If nothing else, just more frequent posts. I used to have this in my RSS feed but removed it, because it wasn’t worth checking daily. So now I only see new posts via Twitter, and I miss those sometimes.

Either way, it’s a good blog.

  5. No DA2 reviews!

  6. More of the same, but morer! But really, what you’re doing works for me. I find some new ideas here, and that’s even before the comments start up, which then add another layer. It’s like an idea layer cake, but not so hard to eat.

    That’s not helpful. :P

About 60% of the time from reading other blogs. Not necessarily MMO-related. 30% of the time from some problem I’m facing in my day-to-day work. The last 10% is just random crap that pops into my head.

Yeah. I think one of my plugins that tracks stats (Wassup) doesn’t like the extra bits to the URL that Feedburner adds to track when someone clicks through from Google. It’s annoying, but you can still read the site so I haven’t bothered trying to fix it yet.

I’ll do what I can. I usually wait until I have something meaningful to post about. I’ve also tried to stop harping quite so much on my usual topics. I suspect I’ll have more stuff to post as we get into stickier issues in my new day job.

Shush, you. (Look at the type of people I have to put up with in my day job!)

    That’s a lovely metaphor. Thank you! :)

  8. More Pokemon posts!

    No, wait… that’s me.

Well, my personal favorite is past design challenges, player not doing what you expected, and emergent behavior. I do not know how many such tales there are from Meridian 59, and how many you can actually share, but that sort of thing always fascinates me. You’ve seen me at GDC. I’ll happily listen to such industry tales for extended periods of time… even the legal aspects!

  9. I love the game design posts and the challenges. Everything else is good, but those are my favorites.

  10. Well, I admit, my comment was unhelpful as a response to some parts of your post. I suppose I was answering “What do you want to see?” only. In retrospect, if you thought I was answering “Anything you don’t particularly care to see again?”, then you should be offended. Sorry about that!

Ah, well, the brain does weird stuff under stress…

I value your comment and think the discussions are the best part of this blog. However, there's this scourge called comment spam, so I choose to moderate comments rather than giving filthy spammers any advantage.

If this is your first comment, it will be held for moderation and therefore will not show up immediately. I will approve your comment when I can, usually within a day. Comments should eventually be approved if not spam. If your comment doesn't show up and it wasn't spam, send me an email as the spam catchers might have caught it by accident.
