After some months of looking for a sponsor, we finally found one. As a result, The Fae's Wyrd is available for everyone to play. Hit one of the links below to play it.

Read on for some more thoughts.

It was an interesting experience putting together a game like this. I like to think that we did a pretty good job, but I think most people don't care that it "only" took us 2 months; a few of the initial reviews on the various sites aren't terribly favorable. Not surprising, people are always extra harsh, so I'm not taking it personally. I'm mostly looking at this as a way to see if the core mechanics are fun enough to pursue.

Ultimately, we aren't doing this for the money given how much we made in sponsorship and donations It's more of a learning experience, I think. There has been talk about us doing a sequel to the game. We'll have to figure out what makes sense for us in terms of scope. Probably keep some of the core mechanics that are fun, add more overall story, increase the art, improve the interface, and see how that goes.

Anyway, feel free to leave comments here if you have specific feedback about the game. Let us know what you think.

  2. Nice work! I think the core mechanics are quite fun. I think there's a lot of replay value in the elemental advancement system. It's great to finally experience what you've been blogging about!
