I manage to read try all court decision and as a customer I am wellcome it.
Really, if I "Own virtual property" I want to have protection as if I own real property.

One can not have it bouth way. Claim to customers that they can own property and give themself rigth to conficate this property at any time.

Ruling was very correct in my humble opinion.

I can see this having a cooling effect on some forms of experimentation with new models, and I expect we'll be seeing a little bit of activity from the legal advisors/departments of various current MMO providers, but from what I've read so far, I don't think this one is going to be apocalyptic to most current or upcoming titles/studios.

Most of the points the judge made in ruling against Linden on the arbitration clause seem pretty specific to LL's business model. I guess I'm not sure there's a whole lot to see here, except as a cautionary tale for future endeavors.

To restate what I've said elsewhere:

"What I find amusing about this is that it's come about mostly because MMO's have (like most of the games industry) viewed themselves as unique snowflakes, and ignored most of the rules on how to write good EULA's"
